Jemstar Meats is the next exciting chapter in the Gerber family's commitment to high-quality meat production. With over a decade of experience in the meat processing industry, the Gerbers have built a reputation for excellence—first through their successful operation of Appalachian Meats in West Liberty since 2008, and now with their newest venture in Mount Sterling.

Building on this foundation, the Gerber family has purchased a 28-acre property where Jemstar Meats was built. This state-of-the-art USDA-approved facility features comprehensive meat processing services—including slaughter, processing, and value-added offerings with an emphasis on beef and hogs. Custom processing opened the first week of January, with our full retail store launching in April. The retail location is the heart of the operation, offering a curated selection of premium products, including fresh meats, ready-to-eat items, deli products, jellies, baked goods, and specialty grocery items. Everything you need for quality meals, all in one place.

This new venture is serving farm families and customers throughout Montgomery County and beyond, providing a reliable, local source for exceptional meat and artisan products.
